Rocky Arbor State Park
The 229-acre park offers an 89-site shaded campground with picnic tables, fire rings, handicapped accessible site, and electric hookup. The park exhibits a scenic sandstone gorge believed to be 500 million years old. Only 1.5 miles east of the park runs the Wisconsin River, the original creator of the sandstone gorge. Picturesque rock walls, ledges and formations dominate the pine-shaded park. The CD-Rom offers a review of the campground, with photos of five of the recommended campsites and a photo of one of the most unusual rock formations in Wisconsin. There are two maps of the park and its campground, with information about the park's facilities, hiking trail, and wildlife.
