Pike Lake - Kettle Moraine State Forest

The Pike Lake Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest is located in the middle of the Kettle Moraine, a strip of glacial land forms which extends through southeastern Wisconsin to Lake Winnebago. The Forest is named after the 446-acre, spring-fed kettle: Pike Lake. Powder Hill, a large glacial kame, also provides the opportunity for a great hike and view. Visitors can enjoy camping, swimming, hiking, fishing, picnicking, and much more within the Forest. The CD-Rom offers a review of the campground, with photos of four of the recommended campsites. There are two printable maps of the park and campground, with photos of the Powder Hill Observation Tower, 500-foot sandy beach, and Ice Age Trail, and information about the park's hiking trails, swimming, boating and fishing, biking, and cross-country skiing. Also included is information about other nearby attractions such as Old World Wisconsin, Holy Hill, and the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive.
