New Glarus Woods State Park
New Glarus Woods is a 411-acre state park offering camping, hiking, picnicking and snowshoeing. The park also offers direct access to The Sugar River State Trail, a 23-mile, 265-acre, State Park trail surfaced with compressed limestone screenings, for bicycling, hiking, snowmobiling and, in some areas, hunting. The CD-Rom offers a review of the park's campground, with four photos of recommended campsites. Included are printable maps of the park and campground, with information about the park's hiking trails, history and Swiss heritage, prairie restorations, geology, wildlife, and other local attractions such as the Sugar River Trail, Ice Age Trail, Badger State Trail, and New Glarus Swiss ethnic attractions.
