Kettle Moraine State Forest - Southern Unit

The Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest is 30 miles long, extending from the village of Dousman, Wisconsin, to near the city of Whitewater, with more than 21,000 acres of glacial hills, kettles, lakes, prairie restoration sites, pine woods and hardwood forests. The CD-Rom offers reviews of the three family campgrounds in the park, with photos of 28 of the recommended campsites, and two photos of the excellent handicapped-accessible cabin at Ottawa Lake campground. Included are four printable maps of the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest, Ottawa Lake Campground, Mauthe Lake Campground, and Whitewater Lake Campground, with photos of Scuppernong Springs, the boat landings and beaches at Ottawa Lake and Whitewater Lake, and the fishing pier at Ottawa Lake. There is information about the group campgrounds, Horseriders Campground, backpack shelters, hiking trails, horse trails, mountain biking trails, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling trails, winter hiking and showshoe trails, swimming, boating, and fishing opportunities, hunting and dog-training facilities, geology of the area, the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive, restored pioneer cabins, and other area attractions.
