Lake Kegonsa State Park
Kegonsa means
"lake of many fishes" and it is one of southern Wisconsin's most
productive fishing spots. The White Oak Nature Trail's effigy mounds
are of great interest to many visitors, as are the woodlands, prairies and
wetlands. The CD-Rom offers a guide to the park's campground, with photos of five of the recommended campsites. Included is a printable map of the park, with photos of the sand beach, marsh boardwalk and observation deck, and boat ramp. There is information about hiking trails, the group camp, swimming, boating and fishing on the lake, cross-country skiing, and area wildlife.
