Chequamegon National Forest - Wanoka Lake Campground

Wanoka Lake
The campground has three overlapping loops at the edge of Wanoka
Lake, a small 15-acre lake with carry-down boat access that is well-suited
for canoeing and trout fishing. The area is the former site of
the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp Twin Lakes, Company V-
1676 (1933 to 1942). Possible day trips are to Rainbow Lake
Wilderness and city of Iron River. The Tri-County Corridor Trail
is also nearby and is an excellent place to ride ATV's.
The CD-Rom offers a review of the campground, with descriptions of the campsites and photos of 5 recommended sites, a printable map of the campground with information about campsite sizes and driveways for RV/Trailer owners, directions, and information about nearby attractions.
