Chequamegon National Forest - Horseshoe Lake Campground

The Moquah Barrens near Horseshoe Lake Campground
The campground, near Horseshoe Lake, is a single loop in a sparse
stand of oak and maple trees. Fern and grass provide dense
understory. Each campsite has a hitching post and pickett line.
A few sites have a cleared area for portable corral.
Although the campground is designed primarily for equestrian
campers, RVers will find it welcoming. The nearby 5-acre Horseshoe Lake offers nice canoeing and fishing opportunities.
The CD-Rom offers a review of the campground, with photos of three recommended campsites, a printable map with campsite information, including driveway lengths for RV/Trailer owners, directions, and information about other Washburn District attractions.
