Chequamegon National Forest - Bladder Lake Campground

Beach and Picnic Area at Bladder Lake
Bladder Lake has only four campsites, all walk-in sites for tent-campers only, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for with its natural beauty and charm. This is one of the few campsites in the Chequamegon where you can reserve a campsite through ReserveAmerica.com. Reservations are recommended, as campsites can be very hard to come by in summer. Don't let the unflattering name fool you. Bladder Lake is one of the most beautiful in the Wisconsin north country. It reminds me of Alpine lakes in Switzerland I've seen, with its deep blue water surrounded by a forest of fir trees.
The CD-Rom contains photos and descriptions of the four walk-in tent-sites, along with photos and descriptions of the beach and picnic area, and boat landing at the south end of the lake. There is a printable map, directions to the campground, and information about other Washburn District attractions.
