Brule River State Forest

The Brule River, a premier trout stream, drops 328 feet from its headwaters to the shore of Lake Superior. It has been called the "River of Presidents" because of all the U.S. presidents who have fished and canoed here. The CD-Rom offers reviews of the Forest's two primitive campgrounds: Bois Brule and Copper Range, with 7 photos of recommended sites. There are photos of the canoe landings at both campgrounds, and photos of the river and the 200-year old white pine along the Stony Hill Nature Trail, with a printable map of the State Forest, and information about the unmatched canoeing opportunities on the Brule, hiking trails, fishing, and area wildlife.
